Who is eligible to join the Chatham-Harwich Newcomers Club?
You must be an full or part-time resident of Chatham or Harwich to join the Chatham-Harwich Newcomers Club.
Do I have to be new to the area to join the Chatham-Harwich Newcomers Club?
No. No matter how long you have resided in either Chatham or Harwich, you can become a member.
I have lived in Chatham/Harwich for many years, can I still join the Newcomers Club?
Yes! Any resident of the town of Chatham or Harwich, regardless of how long you have lived there, is welcome to become a member.
Can I join an activity if I am a non-member of the CHNC?
No. You must be a paid member of the CHNC to participate in any activity.
If I'm a member, can family members or friends join me in club activities if they are not members?
No! Only members can attend activities and events. No non-member guests are permitted to participate. There is no exception to this rule. Each family member is required to join individually.
How much is the membership fee and what does it cover?
The cost for an individual membership is $25 and runs from September 1 through August 31. There is no family or group membership. Each person must join individually. Dues are not prorated. However, if you join the Club in July or August, your membership fee will cover you for 14 months or until August 31st of the following year.
Is there an additional fee required to participate in activities?
It depends on the activity. For example, to join in on the bowling activity, there is a fee to rent shoes and pay for the games. But if you join a hike, then there is no additional fee.
How do I edit my profile?
If you're interested in joining an Activity, you must Edit Your Profile. Login, once in your profile, scroll down to the Group Participation section. Click to put a check on the activity you want to join and then click Save at the bottom of the page. When the Activity Leader sends out information about the activity, you will receive an email. You can also update your personal information, if necessary.
