Cooking, Women's

Group Leader:  Sharon Haas

If you love gathering with friends over a great meal, but don’t want to do all the work yourself, then this is the group for you!

Members will meet once a month in groups of six. Each member of the group will rotate being the hostess who will be responsible for selecting the main entree and emailing the remaining members complementary dishes for them to make/bring.

The hostess will determine the location of the event and could elect to host it at her home- inside or outside, local park, beach, or fire pit.  It’s fun to get creative and utilize a theme such as brunch, Italian, taco night or tapas plates.  It’s completely up to you, as the hostess! Remember, you don’t have to be a gourmet cook to enjoy the company of friends- new and old.

October 9th:  Women’s Cooking groups are forming, with the latest called the 'Salty C’s' (Cheerful, Caring women who like to Cook). This group already had some awesome gatherings including the beach with their favorite cocktail called The Thirsty Thursday Can’t wait to hear about their next adventure. You might even see them around town wearing their Salty shirts. Way to go Ladies!!

The 'No Pressure Cookers' group met at Pam Cronin’s backyard deck for an amazing lunch and lots of laughter with great friends. Talented Pam had made us knitted pumpkins for all to bring home. Our next gathering will have a cranberry theme for a berry good time.

Our other groups called the Sauteed Sisters, Cuciniamo (Let’s Cook) and Incredible Edibles are busy preparing for cookouts.

All in all groups are still active while practicing covid-safe distancing and/or masks. Stay well and share the kindness!
